Demetra “Dee” Marsh is the CEO and Administrator for Amongst Friends a Home and Community Based service provider in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area.

Dee is a native of Bassett, VA and educated with the Henry County School System.  She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC; majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminal Justice.  She also completed the CMS Teaching Residency EC Adapted Curriculum Program.  Prior to opening Amongst Friends, Dee has worked for agencies supporting both youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. 

She has spent the last eight years working with students within the exceptional children’s program as a long-term substitute and current EC – Extensions teacher in both Middle and High School. 

For Dee, this is not just a job or even a career. It is an opportunity to fulfill her purpose in this life by making a difference in the lives of others by empowering them to see and live out their fullest potential.
